My friend had her baby at St. Anthony's this past year and her expereince at the hospital was great. The staff is very pleasant. However the emergency dept is another story. Over the summer I had to take my newborn son to the emergency room. The staff emergency room doctor on at the time told me that my son was too small and he couldn't do anything for him! And not only that, he was rather rude. A very caring nurse pulled me to the side and explained for signs I should look for and to bring my son back in if necessary. I was extremely grateful to this nurse, however, thoroughly disappointed in the doctor. I recommend that if you have a pediatric case to go to Middletown or NJ - even an urgicare center would have been more help. This emergency room needs to hire a doctor that knows something about children.
